Kendo club

Spalato

Kendo is the Japanese martial art of swordsmanship. Practised with bamboo swords and protective armour, it has its roots in traditional Japanese fencing.

At Kendo Club Spalato, we develop technique, focus and discipline through regular practice, respect for our partners and learning together.

WHAT IS KENDO?

TRAINING

TUESDAY & THURSDAY
18:00–19:00

SATURDAY
10:00–12:00

Blatine-Škrape Primary School sports hall
Split, Croatia

No equipment is needed for your first session.

WHY PRACTISE KENDO?

Kendo develops coordination, fitness and concentration. We learn to connect movement with decision-making, stay calm under pressure and respect the partner we practise with.

Progress comes gradually, through consistent practice and patience. Each session is an opportunity to refine our technique and learn something new.

You do not need any martial arts experience to begin. Curiosity, a willingness to learn and a readiness to make an effort are what matter.

YOUR FIRST SESSION

Bring comfortable sportswear and a bottle of water. We practise barefoot, and you do not need your own kendo equipment to get started.

You will learn the basic movements and get a feel for training in the dojo. Your first session is free, and no previous experience is required.

Visiting kendoka are welcome too. Please contact us before joining a session.
